I read tons when I was in elementary school. I remember being so proud when I finished The Little House on the Praire Books. I then at some point moved on to The Babysitter's Club which I just devoured. I was always reading!

Sorry, I didn't really want that last post entered yet.

Anyway, as I was saying...

I always loved Christmas break because I would spend nearly the entire time cuddled up with books. Now as a busy mom I have to capture 5 minutes here and 5 minutes there.

My favorite is a fireplace, a nice comfortable quilt, a good book (back then it was mysteries like Nancy Drew), and a cup of hot chocolate with whipped cream.

That sounds fantastically wonderful right now.

It was a very snowy day here in Salt Lake today. I yearn to cuddle up with a book, in front of the fireplace. Just like I did as a kid.

Michelle,

What a nice blog to read! I'm so glad I stopped by. The content flows very nicely and you make me feel as if I know you just a little bit better. Also I loved what you said about your "cute husband." I've got one of them too! (LOL)

We don't have many snow days in NC so I can never use that as an excuse to read. Right now though, I'm actually reading/reviewing a book from fellow WBO member, Diane Teagarden, called "Getting Out of Limbo" a self-help guide for divorce.

The only thing my mom read were harlequin romances. My family was always telling me I was going to go blind from reading so much, but they still waited patiently for me to finish up in the bookstore, and managed to get every book on my list at Christmas every year, lol.

Some of my earliest favorites were always the Dr. Seuss collection when I was really little (along with Richard Scarry) and my first real book, I must have read it 100 times was A Little Princess. That book made me cry every single time!!
